AP Bio students will be participating in the U of T National Biology Competition on Thursday, April 24th, 2014 from 11:45 am - 1:00 pm.

Practice AP Biology Exam

We will have a practice AP Bio Exam on Friday, April 25, 2014 (Day 6; Period 7 & 8).

Ecology Test

We will have an Ecology unit test on Friday, April 4, 2014 (Day 4; Lunch and Period 5). This test will be based on:
Chapter 34 - intro (pages 680-681) and sections 1 - 7, and 17
Chapter 36 - sections 1 - 9, and 11
Chapter 37 - sections 1 - 21

Photosynthesis Test

We will have a test on photosynthesis (Chapter 7 Sections 1-13) on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 (Day 3; Lunch). This test will be worth 25 marks.

Bonus Test

We will have a test based on topics that we covered in Bio30S (in Grade 10) that we will not be covering again in class in AP Bio. This test will consist only of multiple choice questions. If your mark on this test is higher than your lowest test mark this year, then this mark will replace that test mark.

Here are the textbook sections that the test will be based on:

Chapter 22 Sections 1-12
Chapter 23 Sections 1-15
Chapter 24 Sections 1-4, 6, 8-9, 17

The test will be on Friday, March 14th, 2014 (Day 6).

Evolution Test

Our evolution test will be on Thursday, February 20th (Day 2) during Lunch and Period 5 and is based on these textbook sections:

Chapter 13 Sections 1-15
Chapter 14 Sections 1-5, 10-11
Chapter 15 Sections 2, 5, 10, 14-15, 17-18

There will be a bonus question based on the Scientific American article "What Makes Us Human?".
